Abdominal Support for Infants

Abdominal wall integrity plays an important role in cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal and musculoskeletal function. When abdominal wall integrity and/or thoracic cage stability is compromised due to gaseous distention, prematurity or anatomical anomalies, the dynamic stabilization of the abdominal muscles is impaired. The NeoBellyBand, created by Ginny McGill, PT, DPT, CNT, NTMTC, was thoughtfully designed for infants to support abdominal muscle function.

Easy to apply, the NeoBellyBand makes it simple to provide consistent abdominal support for babies.

Detailed Description

The NeoBellyBand features:

Medical-grade blend of fabric and foam that has been used safely on premature skin
Soft foam inlay that is lightweight, breathable, and moisture-wicking
Outer fabric that is Velcro receptive and adjustable
Latex- and Neoprene-free
5 sizes that may be modified to meet the needs of all infants
Single patient use; may be hand-washed and re-used on the same patient
Packaged 2 per bag
